New contracts keep Vixen leaders in their field

Vixen Surface Treatments has secured major new contracts to supply its range of machines to businesses across the UK.
Vixen, a market leader in the manufacture of industrial washing, degreasing and wet and dry blasting machinery, has provided Score Energy in Scotland, Curl Moducons in Tyne and Wear, Everhot Cookers in Gloucestershire and Impact Coatings in Essex with new machines to help with their individual business operations.
Score Energy, an independent supplier of aeroderivative gas turbine services, has purchased a 1.5 Carousel washing machine, a VM 2 meter Special Cabinet and a Jetwash 99. The machines will be used at the company's new facility in Peterhead to clean the aircraft fuselage of the European Typhoon.
Washington-based Curl Moducons-a Division of Permoid Industries Limited specialises in the volume manufacture of high-quality sheet metal parts and components. Vixen has supplied the company with a  3m.Phoswash which will be used as a more environmentally friendly replacement for traditional vapour de-greasing  in the preparation of metal parts prior to powder coating.
Everhot Cookers, in Dursley, Gloucestershire, manufacture hand-made traditional cooking ranges. Previously engineers had been wiping its products down manually before powder coating so Vixen has helped the company to automate and speed up the process by supplying them with a 2m Phoswash.
And Impact Coatings in Colchester, a powder and wet coatings company, has recently purchased a 4m Phoswash for its new facility. This single machine will replace four pre-treatment tanks to make its operations more efficient.
Vixen operates extensively both in the UK and around the world and is widely recognised for producing high quality machinery such as Aquablast wetblasting machines, washing and degreasing equipment, dryblasting cleaning machines and phosphating machines, as well as custom-built machinery for specific customer requirements.
The North East-based company works in sectors such as manufacturing, aviation and engineering.
Vixen, which employs a team of forty five, launched almost 20 years ago in Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees and works with clients including Ford Motor Company, Triumph Motorcycles, Hotpoint, Rolls Royce, Black and Decker and Sharp Electronics.
The company manufactures thousands of machines every year which are used to wash everything from minor or delicate objects to large scale industry components to improve cleaning times and to cut the cost of time-consuming manual labour.
The most popular machines in the current market place include the wetblasting Aquablast and the phosphating machines which are both easy to use and offer a number of environmental benefits.
Speaking about the new contracts, Aidan Mallon, managing director of Vixen Surface Treatments, said: "Vixen's reputation is now widely recognised and respected throughout the industry and we have grown to become a leading supplier of state-of-the-art machinery. These recent contract-wins are helping us to further grow the business and are thanks to our highly-skilled engineers and the superb service we provide to ensure client needs are met efficiently."
