THE AGISONIC DEGREASING TANK IS A PROGRAMMABLE MULTI-FUNCTION WASH PLANT WHICH COMPRISES ULTRASONIC FUNCTIONS COUPLED TO A SEPARATE WASH CYCLE USING THE VIXEN AGIWASH FUNCTION. VIXEN SURFACE TREATMENTS HAS DEVELOPED THE AGISONIC DEGREASING TANK TO BE CAPABLE OF WITHSTANDING EXTREMELY HEAVY CONTAMINATION.

Ultrasonic cleaning has long been viewed as the benchmark, and often the ultimate form of cleaning. The rationale behind this view is formed based on the fact that the ultrasonic action – commonly known as ‘cavitation’ – can clean internal areas which are not accessible using other means of washing (e.g. spray washing and agitation).

The Agisonic operates using an immerse wash coupled to a strong flushing action. In terms of process, the component is moved up and down quickly while submerged in a moving hot water-based cleaning fluid, before being subsequently followed by an ultrasonic stage.

Vixen has added several menus which enable a multi-programme wash cycle. The ultrasonic action combined with the agitation cleaning cycle gives maximum cleaning efficiency.

WHAT IS THE PRINCIPLE BEHIND THE AGISONIC MACHINE?

The Agisonic is a programmable multi function wash plant which comprises ultrasonic functions coupled to a separate wash cycle using the Vixen Agiwash function. This system was developed where immersion and ultrasonics are simply not strong enough for a very heavy contamination. Typical applications: Machine castings with blind holes, bent tubes with cutting fluids and narrow diameter tubes.

 

HOW DOES THE AGISONIC'S PROCESS WORK?

Once immersed, the Agisonic proceeds through a wash cycle which includes 3 basic washing principles; 1 – Agitation of components whilst being fully immersed in the hot solution, 2 – Washing via the ‘Aquajet’ principle which increases the flow of water through the components being cleaned, 3 – Ultrasonic cleaning to remove residual debris.

 

WHAT FILTRATION IS FITTED TO THE MACHINE?

This operates via the ‘Aquajet’ principle. The solution is drawn from the tank during the agitation cycle and pumped at high pressure through a 125 micron filter and returns to the base manifold creating an aggressive movement of the cleaning fluid known as our ‘Aquajet’ function. Additional filtration can be fitted down to as low as 5 micron.

 

THE COMPONENTS I AM CLEANING ARE VERY OILY, IS THERE WAYS OF REMOVING THE OIL TO EXTEND THE LIFE OF SOLUTION IN THE TANK?
