Within this industry, the cleanliness levels and expectations for components are constantly rising. In particular, the elements involved in the engine manufacture, for instance, have to meet critical requirements, which are becoming stricter and harder to achieve.
Vixen manufactures standard and bespoke machinery for every stage within the automotive pipeline to meet the specific cleanliness levels associated with each component, and we have worked with a wide range of automotive companies throughout the years; including high-end companies such as:
- Red Bull F1
- Jaguar Landrover
- Ford Motor Company
- BMW Mini
- Sytner Audi
The products that Vixen manufacture lean heavily to either washing of new components to high cleanliness levels, or the refurbishment service sector within the automotive industry. For newly manufactured components, sub-contractors who supply car companies are faced with demands for ever-increasing cleanliness levels and manufacturing times. Vixen has supplied numerous standard, modified and robotic machines to meet these needs.
In washing components, the most popular form of washing is spray washing. The Top Loading and Front Loading spray wash machines are used mainly to degrease parts such as engines, gearboxes, numerous aluminium castings and applications.
These washing machines start with the smaller Top Loading machines and go on to the larger Front loading machines. The Front loading machine can accommodate larger machine parts as it features a front opening door to provide more sufficient access. A popular extra for this machine is the hand lance to get into the hard to reach areas such as cavities within engines for example. Teescraft engineering purchased one of our Front loading machines which have the hand lance feature as you can see from the video below.

The Agisonic range provides a deep clean on automotive parts. Within the Automotive industry, there are many critical components that have to meet specific cleaning standards. This particular machine uses the cavitation process which vibrates the water and the liquid detergent molecules using a very intense sound at a high frequency. This creates a scrubbing effect removing the dirt and oil contaminants where simple soaking wouldn’t achieve the desired result.
Vixen’s Aquablast range is highly sought after in the automotive industry. The abrasive mixed with water along with the altered angle produces a lapping effect which travels across the surface of the component being blasted. This creates a softer, more polished finish which is desired and preferred by many industries including the automotive industry.
One of the main benefits of the Aquablast range for body shops, mechanics and restoration companies etc. is the lack of dust which is produced by dry blasting machines, this is essential when working within a limited space to keep the area clean and safe. Vixen's Aqua Wheelblaster has been created to be a market leader in this industry to prepare wheels ready to be machined in the Vertical Wheel Lathe then painted/ lacquered.
