Paint Stripping

The Vixen wet blasting process is being used globally for MRO operations as part of safety critical wheel and brake overalls and checks.

Our wet blasting process and solutions enable full and consistent coverage for the removal of paint from surfaces

This is ideal for components being checked for fatigue, and prepared for re-coating

Paint stripping for the above purpose is typically performed using a coarse plastic bead media as Using plastic media for this process strips away the paint from the surface without making any changes to the substrate.

Using the Vixen Wet stripping process with plastic media in combination with the cowheelrrect nozzle size and machine parameters creates a high volume flow and scrubbing over the surface to remove the paint whilst also cleaning the component meaning their is no need to  have a pre-wash step for these components

Wet blasting can be used for both cleaning and stripping, removing or reducing the time needed or multiple process stages and labour-intensive steps.

Process benefits

  • No need to pre-wash components
  • No dust is created with our wet process
  • No substrate effect
  • Washes components simultaneously
  • Can be a manual or automated process
  • Ideal preparation for NDT / FPI proceses
