Vixen is still operating as normal, in compliance with UK Government guidelines.
As part of the refurbishment the alloy wheels would be prepared by hand using grey scotch pads and soapy water which is extremely labour intensive. To speed up the process Diamond Alloys Ltd invested in Vixen's Aquablast 915 vapor blasting machine after they were recommended from another company who were also using one of Vixen’s machines.
Since installing the machine they have reduced their preparation time giving a much better surface key.
Manually operate, the Aquablast 915 wet blasting cabinet is particularly effective for creating a satin finish on stainless steel along with a wide range of other metals. The Aquablast range is designed to simultaneously blast and degrease components in a quick and easy dust-free process, which achieves outstanding finishing results on a variety of components.
The key to Vixen's wetblasting process is that the finish is produced through flow of water borne abrasive and not by media impact. This helps to create a finer finish due to the lubrication and flushing action of the water during the process.
Vixen's wet blasting process eliminates media impregnation into the component, and as a result, is vastly becoming a popular choice for companies worldwide.
When asked what they thought of the vapor blast machine they said that the process is a lot faster, it has improved business, is much more time efficient, provides a better surface key and improves overall efficiency for this process of preparation.
The company now provides a 24 hour turnaround service and prides themselves in offering clients not only a premium finish but a premium service too. Their specialist team also have the skills to develop alloys customised to each client’s specifications, so your car stands out from the crowd.
