Case study overview
What The Customer Says:

“After researching wetblasting machines we chose the Vixen Aquablast because of its stainless steel construction, compact cabinet size, competitive pricing and willingness of the company to meet our needs.

We have found a significant improvement in the finish, speed, reliability and cleanliness with the Aquablast, and the visibility during the blasting process is vastly improved, which in turn reduces the time required to blast each component."

DJ&SC Cook have recently purchased an Aquablast 915 wet abrasive blasting cabinet from Vixen, to effectively clean motorcycle components from grease, oil and other contaminants.

DJSC Cook is a motorcycle repair and restoration workshop, located in Wodonga, south east Australia. It provides blast cleaning services to motor trades and required a blasting process which would effectively clean motorcycle components that were covered in grease, oil and other contaminants.

The company first tried to use a dry blast cabinet but they found that the blast media was starting to stick together after coming into contact with the oily components. As a result, the media started to block the blast system.

Manually operated, the Aquablast 915 is the smallest of Vixen’s standard wet blast models and is particularly effective for creating a satin finish on stainless steel along with a wide range of other metals. The Aquablast range is designed to simultaneously blast and degrease components in a quick and easy dust-free process, which achieves outstanding finishing results on a variety of components.
