With our Diamond Cut Vertical Wheel Lathe becoming one of Vixen's most popular machines, it’s no surprise that customers are buying them to improve their businesses from all over the world.

Jurgen, the owner of Zähringer Lack und Dellentechnik located in Freiburg, Germany, purchased Vixen’s Vertical Wheel Lathe to offer Diamond Cut Wheel repair to his clients. One of Vixen’s sales engineers, Tom, recently flew out to Germany to deliver two days of inclusive training to Jurgen and his employee Laurent.

The first step on arrival was Tom making sure that the machine was set up correctly for safe use. Next, he moved on to demonstrating how the machine works to the customers including loading the wheel, managing the door, mapping the wheel and using the system to enter the desired cut level.

Vixen’s Vertical Wheel Lathe operates with a user-friendly Windows system that can be translated to any European language, making it accessible and easy to use for international customers. It also has the ability to map wheels using laser-technology in under 30 seconds, providing a quick but precise cut every time.

Tom went through the initial process repeatedly to make sure that Jurgen and his employee Laurent were fully comfortable and understood the information that was given to them. He then let both of the customers have a go for themselves under his supervision.

By repeatedly explaining the process, this allows the information to fully sink into the customers so that when they go on to use the machine themselves, they can do so with confidence.

After Jurgen and Laurent had been through the full diamond wheel cutting process a few times with some practice wheels, they then felt confident enough to move on to cutting some wheels for their own clients.

With the new addition of Vixen’s Vertical Wheel Lathe in their workshop, Zähringer Lack und Dellentechnik can offer repairs for Diamond Cut Wheels and can attract a larger range of customers to expand their business.

After the two days of training was complete, Jurgen described Tom’s training as “outstanding” and was very pleased with his Vertical Wheel Lathe.

He went on to say: “The training was clear and Tom was great to work with us.”
